1946 - 1982

From the end of World War II up until 1969, the company was managed by Josef Leichtfried, together with his two sons and two daughters. During this period investments in new buildings were the priority. Large, bright production halls were built, so that loden could be manufactured using the latest technology. In 1959 what had previously been a sole proprietorship was converted into a family limited partnership.

In 1969, the head of the company (who died in 1974) handed over the management to his son, Josef, who had completed the highly-regarded, textile engineering course in Aachen, Germany.  Ing. Josef Leichtfried now ran the company until 1982 as personally liable partner. The most important decision he made during this period was to concentrate on quality above quantity and to specialise in  producing high-quality loden cloth.
